Bachelorette Ashley Hebert has her first Rose Ceremony

So, The Bachelorette premiered last night.  Did you see it?  Well I tuned in with the other millions of people curious to see the bachelors Ashley will have the opportunity to date for the next few months in her quest for a husband. There were several that seemed like they would be worth a second glance. First she gave Ryan P. the first impression rose.  I agree that he was a cutie and seems to have a good personality. We will have to wait and see what happens with him.

Ok, Jeff (a.k.a. Mask guy), what was up with the mask?  I mean, really? Ashley seemed to understand his reasoning about wanting to be judged on him and not his looks.  Now, is it just me or is it a little arrogant to think that his looks are that good that she might keep him for that?  I'm just sayin!  I say lose the mask Jeff.  Does anyone see a similarity to The Bachelor's "Fang" girl?  You know, Chantal who was the funeral director?  It seems both these characters seemed to have a little mystery surrounding them, however Chantal made it pretty far in the show since she had a hometown date.

Tim, Tim Tim.  Somehow I don't think getting drunk on the very first night will get you very far.  Besides that, he was a little creepy.  I mean he just stared at her with these glassy eyes and then he just sat there and hardly said anything!  You could tell Ashley was a little uncomfortable around him.  Also, having to be escorted out by three of your fellow bachelors?  Come on Tim!  Good riddance.

JP...what is there to say about you cupcake?  I really liked how personable he was.  He told a story about his boss calling him cupcake because he brought in cupcakes to the office after having them requested by said boss. Now, I don't recall him stating whether or not his boss was male or female, but let's hope the "boss" is a female!  Ashley expressed to JP that she has always wanted to be called cupcake by her significant other.  So, they agreed that she could not call him cupcake but she would allow him to call her that.  Sweet...

The last eligible bachelor I want to mention is Bentley.  Can these shows not be original?  Ashley tells Chris Harrison in her opening interview that she received a call from a former contestant stating that she knew the ex wife of Bentley and that he was not there for the right reasons.  He was there just to promote his business.  I mean really?  Didn't we just see that same story on the last season of the Bachelorette when Ali gets a call stating that Justin (a.k.a. Rated R) was there to promote his boxing career?  He finally gets kicked off after some drama.  Well, what do you know, the very last rose Ashley hands out is to...wait for it.... Bentley!  He is totally staying for the ratings.  Of course Ashley says he is hot and seemed genuine.  That remains to be seen.

So, all in all, I think she had a good crop of men to choose from. I am looking forward to the drama of the season too.  I know that there is at least an hour each week where I can get away from the drama that takes over my life.  So, which bachelor did you like?  Spill it.
